Den 26 september 2026 släpps "Joy Division Eternal", ett helt nytt live-boxset med ett av de mest inflytelserika banden genom tiderna.

Setet samlar en mängd ljudkällor, från publikinspelningar till soundboard-band till internationella radiosändningar, och innehåller 16 kompletta livekonsertinspelningar fördelade på 14 CD-skivor, plus ca 2 timmar och 20 minuters livevideo på DVD, inspelad mellan mars 1979 och maj 1980, bara två veckor före Ian Curtis' tragiska död.

Ljudkvaliteten från dessa källor varierar mycket. De flesta av publikinspelningarna låter precis som det de är – inspelade av ett fan i mängden – och åtskilliga konserter har blivit brett bootleggade. Även om detta under normala omständigheter kunde resultera i ett suboptimalt kommersiellt utbud, har Warner Music i detta fall full tillit till att Joy Division-fans kommer att fröjdas över dessa officiella bootlegs och glädjas åt inspelningar av högre kvalitet, särskilt dem som inte tidigare har hörts.

I förlängning av de tidigare New Order Definitive Edition-utgåvorna, kommer Eternal att presenteras i en 12" box, med de många skivorna presenterade i 4 digipaks, + en softback 12" bok med nya liner notes av den brittiska poet laureate och Joy Division-fan Simon Armitage, samt fotografering av bandfotograferna Anton Corbijn och Kevin Cummins.

1 x 16-sidigt häfte – med personliga noter av Simon Armitage och fotografering av Anton Corbijn och Kevin Cummins

12” x 12” box med 'lift off'-lock – artwork av Warren Jackson, Peter Saville, Howard Wakefield och Brett Wickens, med omslagsfotografering (Sirius Through a Defocused Telescope, 2023) av Wolfgang Tillmans
