Shepik,brad / Commuters
Shepik (on guitars, saz etc.) delves deep into the oral folk musics of the Balkans, Turkey, the Arab world and North Africa, fusing them with his own jazz/rock background. A tuneful, rhythmically diverse, richly textured set of original music - supercharged world jazz propelled by Seido Salifoski's virtuosic dumbek, Kenny Wollesen's solid groove, and Peter Epstein's beautiful saxophone lines.
