Who or what protects people from a possible corrupt press. The networks that are subject to benefit from the content of its broadcasts. Networks are owned or funded by massive corporations, private entities, and or donors who are in the business to make money, not lose it. These owners and funders benefit with the right political head elected to office or sensationalizing and underreporting, selective reporting to drive an agenda. What would or could stop any of these networks from abusing their trusted position and power to provide credible news. Every system or news broadcast is guilty to some extent (some more than others), and some have exposed while others with more guilt have got it locked up and threw away the key. What can be done to protect the public?
