Long ago, people spent their entire lives making a living on the sea. Fraser was one such person. As an old man with a wife and grandchildren who needed him home, his only desire was to retire happily and leave his sword fishing days behind.... One day, a desperate schooner Captain, aware of Fraser's exploits as a renowned sword fisherman, asks him to go back to sea one last time. Fraser chooses to help out the Captain, but in doing so learns a lesson about the beauty of life as he comes face to face with a giant swordfish nicknamed the Gray.
