The War Below

J. P. Watts co-writes and directs this drama set during the First World War. Based on true events, the film follows a group of British miners as they work in claustrophobic subterranean conditions to create tunnels packed with explosives in an ambitious attempt to destroy the German army from below the trenches and turn the tide in the Battle of Messines.

Unfortunately for them, however, the Germans have had the same idea and are busy digging through from the other side...
