This award-winning show is a spin-off of the incredibly popular and long-running crime drama, LAW AND ORDER. Starring Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay (who won an Emmy for her work on the show) as Detectives Stabler and Benson, SVU focuses on the often shocking world of sex crimes. Rather than spending half the programme's hour with the cops and the other half with the lawyers, the series stays with the police and the criminals they pursue for most of the show.
