But for the first time in a very long time, a job has fallen into their laps that doesn't involve seemingly random, low-level recon assignments that go nowhere interesting.

One that holds the promise of globe-trotting adventure, recklessly unrestrained use of high-caliber weaponry, and maybe even the option to finally retire if they pull this off without any hitches?

Either way the chips land, it could be the adventure of a very long lifetime. One that might even momentarily excite someone as jaded as them.
