'When I Grow Up I Want to be a Police Officer' is an activity book which is an entertaining (lots of colouring, dot-to-dot, puzzles and word searches) as useful, as it introduces the preschoolers and primary school pupils to the profession of a police officer. I came up with an idea for this book when I was cared for by wonderfully supportive police officers and detectives from the local police department in the summer of 2020. My children by them were adults, but I imagined if they were much younger, they would've struggled to keep themselves busy while their parents were interviewed by officers and detectives for a couple of hours. And the idea of police officers and detectives always carrying a few of such activity books as well as a few packs of crayons in their car came about. And of course, this activity book is not just for emergencies. Introducing the little ones to the noble profession of a police officer at a young age just might help fill the ranks of our police with a few more caring and brave young men and women.
