Alex Ware was a mysterious and complicated writer, poet, and artist. He took his own life at just nineteen years old, leaving behind a volume of work that reveals his sharp intellect, prophetic thoughts, quirky sense of humor, and private pain.

This Is Me is a compilation of selected poetry, school assignments, notes, and drawings by Alex that retraces his steps from age seven to the night he died. Along the way, friends and family reminisce about the profound impact of a much-loved son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend, and--above all--free spirit.
