"If God gave you the best He had to give when you had done nothing to deserve it, what makes you think He has changed His mind and now gives to you on the basis of what your sowing deserves? To those concerned about not having enough, Jesus did not point to men working in the field to plant seed and say "Look at how they sow, for that is the way to ensure you always have enough" Instead He pointed to the birds of the air and declared "They neither sow nor reap, nor store up in barns yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable are you than birds?" (Matt.6:26) Notice Jesus relates the Fathers generosity directly to the great value we are to Him, not to what we do for Him."
