Ancient Civilization: the Beginning of Its Death

Publisher Marketing: Where did the Serpent Mound come from? Did it come from a highly evolved ancient civilization, almost unknown to history? -Learn about the story in this Book 1 of 3 parts to the entire story of an adaption of The Camp of Gods Tears. -The people of this ancient civilization thrived in North America for centuries long before the coming of Europeans. -they believed in the oneness of God or the oneness principle -they wore exotic clothes made from fine textiles -they had strongly built homes, villages, and expansive farms -their social organization was powerful yet simple, a few shaman, elders, and no real leaders. This story is adapted from (The Camp of God's Tears) is a tragic tale about this civilization and how it ended. This story is grounded in fact according to archeological, genetic, and linguistic data as reflected in the Afterward which presents supportive information and a bibliography of nearly 400 sources from (The Camp of Gods Tears). This saga is told as a narrative by Gray Wolf who begins his story during his late adolescence and follows through six generations until he becomes a great-grandfather. The book reveals the high level of sophistication of this culture which was far more advanced than many cultures of the same time period, circa 300 AD. More importantly, it articulates the depth of their spirituality and moral codes by which these people lived. While the mysterious ending of a great culture is heart-rendering, the story ends on a note of hope for contemporary times. The author relates the story as it came to her in a dream. It was told to me by Falling Star. She intrigued me with their immense earthworks which demonstrate accurate astronomical alignments to the Sun, Moon, stars, and galaxies. The organization of labor, engineering skills, mathematical and astronomical knowledge required to build these phenomenal earthworks amazes modern researchers. I asked Falling Star why she showed me all of this. She said her People wanted their story told and asked me if I would tell it. Of course, I said, and then I asked her why. She said her People were so deeply spiritual, so in tune and in touch with the Creator that they actively lived the principles of Oneness. Their ways demonstrated what being one and at one with the One . . . looked like in real life. She said the people of my time need to know these principles and to learn to live them, because humankind is struggling to regain balance in a troubled world. Contributor Bio:  Lee, Marilyn MARILYN LEE The theory is at 65 years of age I should be retiring. However, the angels or the Universe has other plans for me. I am now writing and speaking about spiritual issues in an effort to serve my fellow humans on this planet. My sense of peace for the dying stemmed from my 15 year practice of giving past-life regression therapy for those either interested or tormented by issues they could not explain in any other terms. In my practice I included at least one remembering event of re-experiencing a death. With this, I gained the insight that death is only a painless transition from the physical to the non-physical experience that also provided for lessons learned or insights into the human experience. And with this practice, I came to realize that our physical lives are not much more than a dream-like experience to assist the self we consider to be the soul to gain insight into the All That Is and that the All That Is requires insight into Itself. In October 2006 I began writing this book, " "The Camp of God's Tears"" that was inspired by a dream I had about 25 years ago. Through all of this I continued my spiritual practice of learning, seeking and behaving in ways that demonstrate my deeply held spiritual beliefs. And, I remain so. JOHN R MAYFIELD After his admission to the Arizona Bar he was employed by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Civil Division. Subsequently, he was appointed as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in the Civil Division, United States Attorney's Office in Phoenix and served for over 26 years before he retired. Throughout his career at the U. S. Attorney's Office he worked closely with the Indian Health Service (IHS) regarding Native American health issues. Of particular note was his representation of the IHS in a lawsuit that attained worldwide attention regarding the protection of Hopi traditional beliefs and practices. He was instrumental in reaching a solution that was acceptable to the traditional Hopi Elders. He was involved in the initial phases of developing a procedure to permit traditional healers' access to patients in IHS medical facilities in Arizona. These efforts ultimately led to a nationwide program which allows such access for all IHS facilities. He was also involved in a successful effort to preserve a sensitive ecological area threatened by a state highway reconstruction project.
