In book 2, "Zombies: Escape The New World", John, Kelly, Samantha and Mike continue their travels to the farm in Rolla, MO. John and his family find the real reason for the zombie outbreak. It was a diabolical hidden agenda of the government. John and his family learn that there is a cure and know their only hope is to set out and attempt to reproduce it.
