In this book of poetry, the use of rhetorical devices such as similes and metaphors are used to describe things and experiences. The poetic technique called enjambment was deployed to create a sense of expectation in the reader and / or to add a dynamic movement of the verse whilst infusing both the classic and contemporary forms of poetry. The poems are like paintings; using words as colours which have the ability to contain different interpretations to whoever is reading or listening.
