At the time they knew nothing about raising grapes. Since then, they have remodeled the house into a rental property, and turned the barn into their home, office, and small learning center. They are in the process of restoring the soil, vineyards, and some of the natural habitat that had been lost. In addition to her BA, Penny has earned a degree in naturopathic medicine, and is working toward a Ph. D. in nutrition.
