Strong Coffee: a Runaway Road Story First edition

Almost 13 and a straight A student, Vinnie Scott expects to spend his summer vacation at East Wind School for Boys doing what he's always done?read, swim, and avoid conflicts with the other "inmates." Vinnie doesn't know it, but his older comrades, bored and jealous of his accomplishments, have hatched a plan to topple him from his pedestal. When a woman's body is pulled from an abandoned well near the picnic area, complete with cops, yellow tape, and a nosy reporter, the excitement racing through the school provides the perfect cover for his escape. Or maybe that should be "escapade."
