Lo-Fi music. The soundtrack of my life.
Born in the mid-twenties, but exploded in recent months, Lo-Fi music is conquering an increasingly large slice of listeners, with numbers of global phenomenon.
Lo-Fi music, has slow, melodic, haunting rhythms that produce a sense of calm, which is why lo-fi playlists are used around the world to study or relax, or perhaps even more so to seek a sense of calm from an intimidating present.
Didactically, it's a music genre that was born in the mid-tens and spread almost entirely over the internet, amidst an initial lack of interest from the music industry so the phenomenon is created of artists with millions of paradoxically unheard of listens.
Slow sounds, nameless artists, melancholy, obsessive and hypnotic rhythms, obsession with the past; a sense of sonic stasis, or to explore an emotional landscape. Something warm, sweet and cozy that smells of calm, of isolation from the world, of home or refuge, and sprinkles the eardrums with amniotic fluid; everything in the logical opposite point to an accelerated mode. Everything, really everything, in lo-fi music conspires precisely to produce this feeling, like an alchemical formula. If before, the past was an end, an aesthetic object (vintage, for example) here, nostalgia is conscious of its use and function.
Lo-Fi the soundtrack of my life, seeks to uncover the hidden reasons behind the nostalgic beauty that permeates Lo-Fi music.
