The Crossroads

The story takes us through the life of Evelyne. Even though her mother is disowned by her family, she works very hard to bring Evelyne up decently. Evelyne's childhood is one of the most normal before she discovers that she has the power to fly in her dreams. She has no control over this power. When her unreciprocated love affair with her childhood friend ends, Evelyne is devastated. Nevertheless, she quickly turns the page as she accepts to marry a young Doctor who studies abroad. She joins him and their union is blessed with a daughter. The couple decides to return to their country. Once home, her husband opens a clinic with the collaboration of his best friend meanwhile she is employed as assistant lecturer at the university. Just when every aspect of her life seems to be smiling at her, a fortuitous encounter with an old friend will transform her perfect life into a theatre of lies, treason, blackmail, and consequently, death. Faced with her responsibilities, Evelyn gets highly depressed. She abandons her life of comfort and returns to her mother's side. She spends more and more time dreaming and flying. She rediscovers her true self before embracing the new realm. THE CROSSROADS carries you between different realities full of surprises that keep you pondering on the mystery of existence and the futility of life.
