Hope for Wounded Warriors

As a wounded warrior, Bill Lentsch knows the frustrating feelings of apparent helplessness and hopelessness. A sea-going Marine on the cruiser USS Vincennes at the beginning of World War II, he was a "hot shell catcher".

The story of Bill's survival when the Vincennes sank is a story of miracles and of contrasts:

a dysfunctional childhood giving way to his later years that were marked by God's amazing grace; post-war struggles with rehabilitation and readjustment to civilian life, including a bad first marriage, yet finding personal fulfillment in God's wonderful plan for his life;a life-journey that contained more than its share of dark pages and the consequences of poor choices (even contemplating the option of murder, then suicide), leading to the discovery of God's purpose to use him in sharing the Good News of the Gospel;
