Four people walk up to the open-air deck of a tour bus in beautiful Varadero, Cuba. Three walk down. A revolution is born. In the not-too-distant future, countries all over the world are thrown into chaos when governments shut down their economies to protect the citizens from what they believe to be an extremely deadly disease. Based on erroneous information that was conceived by AI computer models, legitimized by medical professionals and fanatically spread by a greedy and malicious press, the cure proves to be worse than the disease. In Book 1, touched by some unknown and unknowable force on a trip to Cuba, the land of Che Guevara, Cheryl and Robbie Regent return to Canada with their lives turned upside down. More than a decade before the lockdowns occur, they begin the process of preparing themselves, knowing some great trial awaits them, and that they, like Che, must be ready.
