The Crawford Case

A popular young woman is found dead. It appears she may have been raped, murdered and left in the woods. Pineville citizens are fearful there's a murdering rapist in their community and want the Sheriff to catch him quickly. Mary Jane Bloom's inflammatory columns in the Weekly Journal add to the communities' fears. Sheriff Ericson does his best but fails to find the killer. The Mayor and the sheriff spread rumors that the killer has fled the area to calm fears. Pamela Lafave and her friends don't believe the rumors and start their own investigation using a new approach to criminal justice based on artificial intelligence. The new approach leads to surprising results.
