Urbanization and Migration in India: Nature and Determinants

Examining the trends and patterns of urbanization and migration in India during 1961-2001, this book attempts to analyse the inter-relationship between them over the period of economic development in India. The book outlined a conceptual framework of migration process of India and identifies its determinants. It is visualized that the findings of the study would be useful in particular to the students of economics, urban studies, demography and sociology.
