Twenty Four

Tina Abena Oforiwa is a London-based poet of Ghanaian descent. Twenty-Four is a moving compilation of poems exploring culture, family, and identity. Oforiwa brings to focus the shared experiences of Ghanaian girls and women in the motherland and the diaspora. She unearths a broad scope of interactions and emotions, depicting individuals in their attempts to navigate their immediate surroundings, and establish a sense of purpose and truth. In their journeys, we find growth, shared humanity, and a deeply profound sense of pride.
