Joseph Larson, a CEO of a solid technology company in Boston, and his wife Emily, a columnist for international magazines, are set to enjoy a lucrative early retirement. They find their retirement dream home nestled among the quiet countryside estates in Spokeridge, Massachusetts. It has all the charm of a quiet private retreat, allowing them to raise their young children Eric and Margaret, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

As they are getting settled in and the short days that follow they are besieged by unexplained paranormal occurrences in their new home, setting them immediately at unease! They have several unusual encounters with the locals and their picturesque retirement quickly becomes a scattered nightmare of mortal fear building in their home! They believe that they have had some type of intruder in their home. And when Joseph finds what appears to be an odd shrine in the woods behind his home, the events that will drive them in a fight for their lives ensues!

As the events in their home begin to escalate, their financial and personal lives start to become unwound as they find themselves in a fight to save their family, alone on eighteen acres of land - three hours away from Boston! After Emily confides in Heather, a colleague from Boston, and asks her for research on the property, she finds out that her distant relatives were involved in a series of horrible deaths on the very land they're living on! The laments of witchcraft and the occult begin to take form!

They begin to be followed and chased by unmarked cars and anonymous people appear out of nowhere as they find themselves the target of an occult that has the power to control people, time and the very essence of the world! After witnessing a night time ritual, they find out that the towns people are involved in a mysterious cult that spans the dawn of time and their family becomes entangled in a desperate race to get out of the town and save their lives - only to find that leaving may be virtually impossible - and the world as they thought it was turns out to be horrifyingly different!

Bound over by enemies with supernatural forces they must find a way to escape!
