High Seas Journey

This fifteenth volume of the Sam Ogden Mountain Man Series begins in the year of 1846. It would prove to be one of extraordinary adventure for Sam Ogden. The previous year had seen the frontier rampage of Carlos Reyes, whom Sam ultimately killed in a mountainside confrontation. But three years earlier Sam had been the guide and confident of an English nobleman who visited Grand Valley Colorado on a hunting expedition. The two friends had continued a regular correspondence. The present volume, "High Seas Journey," tells the story of how Sam and Little Fire and their two nearly grown children, travel all the way to London to visit their friend and benefactor, John, the Earl of Wickham. Sam's son Jacob is a strapping young man of eighteen years, while Amanda his daughter, is about to celebrate her fifteenth birthday. Both have been feeling the confines of their little frontier town of Grand Junction Colorado, population less than 100, and they are eager to "see the world." This grand voyage will give them more to see than they ever imagined. The family will be joined by Sam's partners, John and Kate Oliver, immigrants from England who have spent twenty years on the frontier dreaming of a trip back to their English homeland.
